Safety Coordinator
Job Description

Talis Group’s client is a premier (and very busy) electrical contracting firm working in the commercial and industrial sectors. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Safety Coordinator to support the Safety Director in developing and enforcing company safety programs that ensure a compliant, hazard-free work environment. This role is responsible for safety training, job site audits, incident investigations, and maintaining OSHA and company safety documentation across multiple projects.
Salary $75 – 85K++ (based on experience, history and skills) plus a generous benefit package.
Highlighted Duties
- Assist Safety Director in developing and updating company-wide safety policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and all applicable regulations
- Plan and conduct safety training, orientations, and jobsite safety audits
- Perform field hazard evaluations and provide corrective recommendations
- Support field staff with incident reporting, safety documentation, and compliance.
- Respond to, investigate, report, and take corrective action on all incidents.
- Maintain safety records and all required documentation.
- Promote a strong safety culture through awareness, participation, and recognition programs
Highlighted Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, OSHA/EHS, or related field (CHST preferred)
- Minimum of 6 years of documented occupational safety management and/or safety training experience
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA compliance and jobsite safety standards
- Experience in electrical, industrial, and heavy commercial construction environments
- Strong computer skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PDF (modify), Adobe Acrobat, Outlook
- Ability to manage shifting priorities and respond quickly to critical issues
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Highly detail-oriented, customer-focused, and an excellent communicator
