Production Manager
Job Description
Talis Groups’ client is a well-established, leading industrial facility, dedicated to responsible, sustainable, and compliant production. Their mission is to ensure safety, environmental integrity, and continuous improvement across their facilities. They are seeking an experienced hands-on Production Manager to oversee all plant operations to ensure safe, efficient production that meets quality and regulatory standards. This role leads a team of managers, supervisors, and production staff while driving continuous improvement, cost control, and strong cross-department collaboration.

Salary: $130 – 140K M-F
HIGHLIGHTED RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the overall production operations of the manufacturing plant.
- Optimize processes using Lean/6S methods and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
- Lead and develop a team of managers, supervisors, and production employees.
- Enforce all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Track KPIs (efficiency, yield, quality, cost) and act quickly on variances.
- Manage the plant's production budget, control expenses and quarterly reporting.
- Partner with engineering, maintenance, procurement, and supply chain teams.
- Manage the quality assurance group.
- Conduct investigations and present validated findings to senior leadership.
- Stay current on industry trends and introduce relevant improvements.
HIGHLIGHTED REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive operations leadership.
- Strong background in Lean, continuous improvement, and 6S.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety, and quality standards.
- Proven leadership skills with a focus on accountability and team development.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience improving efficiency, meeting production goals, and reducing cost.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, financials, and cost control.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting.
- Able to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
