Talis Group’s client, a national leader in the food & beverage industry for over 100 years, is seeking a Processing Supervisor (3^rd shift) to oversee all daily operations functions within their assigned area, at their Austin, IN facility. M – F 8:30 pm – 5:30 am

Salary: $65 – 75K + an excellent benefits package.

 HIGHLIGHTED DUTIES

• Responsible for the daily schedules of retort operators 
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of hydrostatic and rotary retorts.
• Monitor Kronos timekeeping, OT, absences, OT, etc. 
• Investigate incidents and write accident reports.
• Print daily process records for retort operators.
• Maintain communication with the QA department.
• Maintain relevant communication with the scheduler/planner. 
• Forward requests to purchasing.
• Manage team member discipline and grievance-related issues.
• Train to perform in SQF and Safety audits.
• Identify and report issues related to non-conformance.
• Assist Processing Managers as required.
• Ensure operators adhere to daily checklists, standard operating procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices

 HIGHLIGHTED REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years’ experience in food manufacturing supervision.
• MUST have experience working with Union.
• Associate degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• Excellent communication and people skills
