Job Description
Talis Group is recruiting for a growing Litigation Law firm in Louisville, KY. This is a great opportunity to work for a firm ranked high amongst the legal community in trial work, has a history of success. This firm is hiring a Paralegal to support their Medical Malpractice/ Workers Compensation group. Excellent opportunity for someone who wants to work in civil defense litigation. Full time hours, and great benefits are offered in this direct-hire position.
Highlighted Duties:
- Request and organize medical records from providers
- Communicate with outside law firms regarding prior depositions of experts
- Ability to maintain firm-wide standard and an efficient log system to record documents sent to experts
- Knowledge of Adobe, Microsoft product suite and Sharefile
- Prepare documents to send to expert witness and follow-up to make sure documents were received
- Preparation of documents for depositions
- Ability to fulfill medical literature requests
- Trial prep including compiling trial notebooks, exhibits, boards, etc
- Research
Highlighted Requirements:
- Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant with full litigation.
- Prefer candidates with medical malpractice, workers compensation or injury litigation
- Ability to listen carefully and perform your job duties with great attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Punctual and dependable
- Medical records requests and trial support experience desired.
