Job Description
Talis Group’s client is seeking a visionary and results-driven Vice President of Operations for the most critical and visible functions of the organization. This executive role oversees the systems, people, and technologies that deliver our products to nearly one million customers every day—while ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and an exceptional customer experience.
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, this position will shape strategy, guide large-scale operations, and drive innovation across maintenance operations, fleet and warehouse services, customer service, billing, and capital projects. This is a high-impact opportunity to lead a complex organization and manage significant capital and operating budgets
Highlighted Duties:
- Ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted service while meeting all state and federal regulatory requirements
- Lead emergency response efforts to minimize disruption
- Direct capital execution, system maintenance, and infrastructure improvements
- Oversee fleet operations and management of $15M in equipment assets
- Champion customer-focused operations
- Drive implementation of advanced technologies and customer-facing digital tools
- Build a strong leadership pipeline through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning
- Collaborate with the President and executive team on strategic planning, budgeting, and corporate policy
- Present operational and performance updates to the Board of Directors
- Foster collaboration across departments to elevate internal and external customer satisfaction
Highlighted Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Master’s degree preferred
- 10+ years of executive-level experience in operations, construction, maintenance, or engineering
- 7+ years of executive leadership and people management experience
- Must have strong financial and operational acumen with large budgets and capital programs
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and inspire trust, accountability, and performance
- Customer-centric mindset with experience improving service delivery and technology adoption
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including Board-level engagement
- High integrity, sound judgment, and a collaborative leadership style
