They are hiring a Litigation Defense Attorney for a primarily REMOTE role but the candidate MUST live in the Louisville, KY area.  This is a dynamic and forward-thinking law firm committed to providing exceptional legal services in the field of injury defense litigation. This client has a very fast-paced practice and the position will handle cases across Kentucky and Southern Indiana. They also offer top salary ($100-$140k), benefits, along with yearly bonuses.

Highlighted Duties

• Handle caseload from inception to completion
• Advise clients concerning their claims or defense of claims, legal rights and obligations.
• Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for clients
• Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
• Investigate, interview and gather evidence to formulate defense
• Prepare and draft legal documents including briefs and opinions
• Negotiate settlements and mediations
• Regularly handle court appearances and depositions
• Communicate with clients and provide status reports

Highlighted Requirements:

• 3-8 years of injury litigation experience
• Must have KY or IN license and the ability to obtain the other
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced but team oriented environment
• Experience with discovery, depositions, pleadings, research, investigations and mediation,

Must be able to communicate often to clients and other providers
