Talis Group’s client is a well-established Louisville-based manufacturer known for its strong reputation, team-oriented culture, and long-term employees. They are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to handle the day to day HR duties in the plant and support the HR Manager as needed. This position will serve as the go-to resource for employees and managers alike.
This is a hands-on, broad HR role with responsibilities spanning recruitment, payroll support, benefits administration, employee relations, and policy enforcement. If you enjoy variety, problem-solving, and being a trusted partner across the organization, this could be a great fit.
Highlighted Duties:
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR questions, ensuring positive employee relations and confidentiality.
- Spend time on the production floor daily
- Manage employee data, maintain personnel files, and support payroll processing.
- Oversee benefit administration including health, life, disability, and retirement plans.
- Coordinate employee leave programs and maintain related documentation.
- Partner with hiring managers to attract, screen, and onboard new employees.
- Conduct new hire orientations and support performance management processes.
- Assist with HR documentation, handbook updates, and safety program recordkeeping.
- Support HR initiatives such as trainings, engagement activities, and process improvements.
Highlighted Requirements:
- Associate degree in HR or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- 2+ years of HR experience in manufacturing industry
- Payroll experience required, ADP would be a plus
- Solid understanding of HR practices, labor laws, and compliance.
- Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
