Job Description
Talis Group’s client is the country’s largest OEM accessories distributor. They are looking to hire a Warehouse Operations Manager for their Louisville warehouse/distribution facility. This role is responsible for the coordination of and the safe & accurate execution of the day-to-day operational duties within the facility. Those duties will include developing the team, delighting the customer, and delivering optimum results. This position is the cultural leader of the facility and provides leadership in functional areas such as continuous improvement, team member care & growth, team member onboarding, KPI reporting, corporate initiatives, and effective resource management. Good work/life balance! Successful candidates will have managed a warehouse with 5 to 20 employees.
Hours: M - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
Salary: $70,000 + bonus potential & solid benefits package!
HIGHLIGHTED DUTIES
- Lead daily safety meetings and promote a safety-first culture.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, workflows, and labor allocation.
- Manage inventory, special-order parts, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, operating procedures, and company policies.
- Train, coach, and mentor team members; conduct performance reviews.
- Execute hiring and onboarding for direct reports.
- Approve payroll and manage department budgets, costs, and revenue.
- Drive continuous improvement and process updates.
- Oversee facility and equipment maintenance.
- Provide hands-on operational support as needed.
- Coordinate team communication and engagement activities.
HIGHLIGHTED REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or trade school certification.
- Experience in warehouse or operations leadership.
- Knowledge of WMS/TMS/ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of cost control and budgeting.
- Effective communication, leadership, and time-management skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience operating powered industrial equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
- GM/Ford parts and inventory system experience preferred.
- Clear driving record; must pass background check and drug screening.
