Highlighted Duties:
- As a Labeling Scientist, you’ll play a key role in making sure our products meet FDA, USDA, and third-party requirements. You’ll serve as both a compliance expert and a process innovator, driving improvements in how we develop and manage product labels.
- Ingredient & Recipe Compliance – Reviewing product formulations to ensure alignment with FDA, USDA, and industry standards.
- Label Development & Oversight – Creating nutrition panels, ingredient statements, and ensuring accuracy of health and wellness claims.
- Customer & Certification Support – Partnering with customers and managing certifications such as USDA Organic, Non-GMO, and Kosher.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Working closely with Food Safety, QA, Purchasing, and Operations teams to support audits, filings, and overall compliance.
- Regulatory Leadership – Researching and interpreting regulations, writing white papers, and staying ahead of industry updates.
- Continuous Improvement – Enhancing processes and promoting a culture of safety, quality, and compliance.
Highlighted Requirements:
- We’re seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex challenges
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Nutrition, Biology, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in Regulatory, QA, or Food Safety within the food industry.
- Experience in labeling compliance preferred
- Strong knowledge of FDA, USDA, HACCP, and related regulatory guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP system experience (SAP preferred).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Highly collaborative team player with strong interpersonal savvy.
