Job Description
Our client is a global chemical manufacturer hiring a Process Engineer with Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree to join their growing team. In this role, you’ll become the subject matter expert for specific operations and processes, ensuring that our manufacturing systems operate efficiently, safely, and at peak performance. You will work closely with the operators, shift leaders, and R&D teams to optimize processes, troubleshoot equipment, and implement improvements that drive production goals. Highlighted Duties:
- Become the process expert for assigned unit operations and equipment
- Perform process optimization studies to improve output, reduce costs, and maintain product quality
- Analyze procedures and equipment functions to identify efficiency opportunities
- Maintain production data and process capability information
- Support daily operations including process troubleshooting and off-spec investigations
- Train and provide technical guidance to operators and shift leaders on new processes and procedures
- Validate, update, and maintain P&IDs, process labels, and operating procedures
- Design and implement small-scale capital projects to enhance production
- Partner with R&D to conduct plant trials and implement process improvements
- Perform safety audits and process hazard analyses for compliance and risk reduction
- Ensure accurate SAP entries for production orders and reconciliations
- Lead continuous improvement efforts with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency
Highlighted Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) required
- 1–4 years of experience in a process engineering or manufacturing role
- Must have experience in chemical manufacturing industry
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to find root causes
- Ability to balance abstract and practical problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams and with all levels of the organization
