Talis Group’s client, a leading food and consumer products manufacturer, is seeking a hands-on, people-focused BILINGUAL HR Manager to lead Human Resources at a large, high-volume manufacturing facility in Just North of Scottsburg, IN. This is a high-visibility leadership role for an HR professional who enjoys being on the production floor, building trust with employees, and helping move a culture forward.  Position reports to the VP of Human Resources.  This opportunity will provide relocation for the right candidate. Salary range: $120 - $140k plus amazing bonuses, very low health premiums, 401(k) match, profit sharing and, etc.

Highlighted Duties:

• Serve as the HR Manager for a large unionized manufacturing site
• Partner with plant leadership to drive people strategy aligned to business goals
• Be a visible presence on the floor, addressing issues early and promoting positive employee relations
• Work with VP of HR to handle recruitment for hourly and salaried roles in a competitive labor market
• Manage union relationships and grievances
• Handle workplace investigations, discipline, and policy enforcement with consistency and fairness
• Use HR data and metrics to support decision-making and workforce planning
• Eventually this role will lead and develop a small on-site HR team supporting employee relations, recruiting, training, and safety

Highlighted Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience); SHRM certification preferred
• MUST be fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
• 7+ years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing
• Seeking experience in union environment
• Proven ability to coach and train Supervisors
• Comfortable being on the production floor every day
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills
• Deep knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
• Able to support a multi-shift operation as needed
