Talis Group is partnering with a highly respected, mid-sized Litigation Defense firm in Louisville known for its strong trial record and reputation for excellence. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated Associate Attorney to join a collaborative team and work on complex, high-impact cases.
This role offers exposure to a diverse defense practice, including Insurance Defense, Products Liability, Premises Liability, and Construction Litigation, along with the chance to build meaningful courtroom experience and client relationships.

Highlighted Duties:
- Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Develop and execute effective defense strategies
- Counsel clients on legal rights, risks, and case developments
- Conduct legal research and stay current on applicable laws and rulings
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal opinions
- Handle discovery, including depositions and witness interviews
- Participate in mediations and negotiate settlements
- Represent clients in court appearances and proceedings
- Maintain consistent client communication and provide status updates
Highlighted Requirements:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- 2+ years of litigation experience (defense preferred)
- Trial experience is a plus
- Active Kentucky license in good standing (required)
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication abilities
- Proven negotiation and advocacy skills
