Construction Superintendent
Job Description
Talis Group’s client is a global engineering, sales, and management company providing manufacturing equipment, on-site installation services, and solutions for industrial construction. They are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent for a new large-scale industrial construction project in the Jeffersonville, IN area.
This role oversees daily field operations with a strong focus on mechanical and plumbing (MEP) systems coordination, ensuring all installations meet design intent, schedule, and quality standards. The Superintendent will lead diverse teams, manage subcontractors, and serve as the key link between the field and project management to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution.
Salary range: $100K – $150K (based on experience) + benefits package
HIGHLIGHTED DUTIES
- Lead and coordinate daily field activities, ensuring alignment with project schedules, specifications, and quality standards.
- Supervise subcontractors, supervisors, and craft workers, fostering clear communication and productivity across bilingual teams.
- Oversee installation and coordination of mechanical and plumbing systems, including piping, HVAC, process water, and equipment connections.
- Manage workforce allocation, scheduling, and productivity tracking to meet milestones and budgets.
- Conduct daily site walks and inspections, proactively identifying and resolving issues to prevent delays or rework.
- Promote and enforce safety standards, integrating them into both short- and long-term project planning.
- Ensure all work meets design intent, specifications, and owner/general contractor expectations.
- Maintain thorough documentation, including daily reports, time logs, and progress updates.
- Serve as a communication bridge between field teams, project management, and client representatives.
- Support start-up, commissioning, and punch list completion as required.
HIGHLIGHTED REQUIREMENTS
- 7+ years of experience in industrial or commercial construction supervision, including significant mechanical and plumbing systems experience.
- Prefer bilingual: English and Spanish
- Proven ability to lead large field teams or multiple subcontractor crews.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, plumbing, and process piping installation, sequencing, and coordination with other trades.
- Solid knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and quality control.
- OSHA 30 certification required; First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
- Familiarity with MEP systems, structural steel, and concrete work.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents, including MEP drawings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
