Job Description

Talis Group’s client, a national leader in the food & beverage industry for over 100 years, is seeking a Sr. Material Planner.  This role will manage the supply of materials required to meet production schedules and minimum stock levels. They will be the subject matter expert in material planning and work cross-functionally to deliver efficient solutions to meet production requirements and drive continuous improvement.

HYBRID role. Monday - Friday 8 – 5

 Salary range: $70 – 84K + excellent benefits package

 HIGHLIGHTED DUTIES

  • Ensures production materials are available to meet production schedules on time and within budget.
  • Monitor inventory to make required adjustments to ensure sufficient materials are maintained to support production schedule.
  • Generate and monitor purchase orders.
  • Identify and mitigate supply risks.
  • Effectively use SAP system to support and perform all duties.

 HIGHLIGHTED REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years’ material planning and/or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food manufacturing
  • ISM certification desired or ability to successfully attain certification if required.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite at an advanced level
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with SAP.
  • Experience with Ariba, with IBP, PPDS, TraceGains experience desired 
  • Strong analytical capability 
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal, negotiations, technology, and written). 
  • Proactive and motivated to take ownership of areas within scope of control.
