Job Description
Talis Group’s client, a national leader in the food & beverage industry for over 100 years, is seeking a Sales and Pricing Analyst to join their dynamic and growing team. This role is crucial in managing pricing strategies, brokerage accounting, and sales accruals while ensuring accurate financial reporting and strategic insights. Position offers competitive salary $95-$120k base + performance bonuses & profit sharing. This would be a Hybrid work schedule (2 remote days per week). Relocation assistance for qualified candidates.
Highlighted Duties:
- Develop and manage pricing strategies, ensuring accurate revenue recognition in line with accounting standards.
- Audit pricing data weekly, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Analyze the financial impact of discounts, rebates, and promotional offers.
- Update quarterly forecasts and annual revenue planning
- Manage sales accrual accounts, ensuring compliance with general accounting standards.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and accounting teams to reconcile and validate accrual accounts.
- Oversee brokerage accounting, ensuring proper tracking and reconciliation of expenses and commissions.
- Provide regular reports on sales accruals, pricing performance, and brokerage accounts.
- Conduct pricing variance analysis and offer insights for strategic decision-making.
- Prepare customer and product profitability reports.
- Support sales benchmark reporting and analysis.
Highlighted Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on sales accounting, pricing, and brokerage practices (preferably in consumer goods).
- 3+ years working in SAP
- Strong background in pricing modeling and financial analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience working in a cross-functional environment.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools or business intelligence platforms is a plus
