With a strong foothold in the OEM market, Talis Group’s client is seeking a dynamic Purchasing Manager to spearhead international sourcing, vendor relations, inventory optimization, and logistics coordination. This pivotal role combines hands-on operational excellence with strategic vision, offering an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on the company's growth trajectory.

Highlighted Duties:
- Supervise, lead and mentor a small staff of inventory / shipping clerks
- Manage the supplier identification, selection, development and performance activities
- Supplier activities may include purchase orders, shipment dates, corrective actions, warranty issues and price change review
- Negotiate contracts ensuring quality, price, delivery and service are optimized
- Manage inventory accuracy and turns
- Ensure optimized flow of materials for production and customer needs
- Review, select and negotiate with carriers to ensure lowest total cost and best delivery
- Develop and implement standard work, policies and procedures
Highlighted Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or related preferred but not required
- 7+ years of experience in purchasing and inventory control
- Proven supplier development and negotiation skills
- Experience in both international and domestic purchasing
- Proven success with contract negotiations and management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead and develop people
