Paralegal
Job Description
Talis Group’s client is a well-established law firm near New Albany, Indiana. This team-oriented firm is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in either foreclosure law, collections, real estate litigation or similar. This role supports attorneys in all aspects of foreclosure proceedings, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. This is a full-time, direct hire role, with an hourly pay of $20-$25/hour (depending on experience) plus full benefits, paid time off, & paid holidays.
The hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm, onsite.
Highlighted Duties:
- Draft, review, and file legal documents related to foreclosure cases, including complaints, motions, & affidavits.
- Maintain organized case files & track key deadlines to ensure timely & accurate court filings.
- Conduct basic legal research & confirm document accuracy & compliance.
- Serves as a liaison between clients, courts, & opposing counsel to provide updates & coordinate procedural requirements.
- Support attorneys by preparing case materials & drafting legal correspondence for hearings & trials.
- Updated & manage data in foreclosure case management systems.
- Ensure all actions comply with foreclosure laws, court rules, & both state & federal guidelines.
- Coordinate logistics for foreclosure sales & related legal proceedings.
Highlighted Requirements:
- Prefer 1 year in foreclosure law, real estate litigation, or a similar legal environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.
- Strong organizational skills & keen attention to details.
- Excellent verbal & written communication abilities.
- Capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Familiarity with Kentucky & Indiana foreclosure laws & court procedures is preferred.
