Paralegal
Job Description
Louisville-based law firm is seeking a Paralegal to join our team. This role is essential in helping our attorneys prepare for trial by managing case files, conducting legal research, and ensuring seamless case development. Position is full time, on site, with a full benefits package. Ideal position for someone who wants to work for a civil defense firm.
Will consider registered nurses with exposure to the law field, such as a nurse consultant or nurse paralegal.
Highlighted Responsibilities:
- Request, review, and summarize medical records.
- Draft and respond to interrogatories and other discovery requests
- Research expert witnesses and prepare background summaries
- Summarize depositions and key case documents
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and drafting trial materials
Highlighted Requirements:
- Prior experience in personal injury or litigation preferred
- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
- Proficiency with legal case management software and Microsoft Office
