Material Coordinator
Job Description
Talis Group’s client is a well-established manufacturer in Southern Indiana. They are seeking a reliable and organized Material Coordinator for customer support, inventory management, production planning, and administrative support. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and basic Excel knowledge to step into a critical role. This is a full-time, direct hire position, with a salary range of $40-45k, plus benefits. The hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, onsite – with casual dress code.
Highlighted Duties:
Customer & Order Support
- Process customer orders & manage order flow from start to finish.
- Communicate with customers & sales reps about inventory needs & delivery timelines.
- Handle returns, complaints, and credit memos professionally.
- Coordinate shipments & freight scheduling.
Inventory & Material Coordination
- Monitor & update inventory levels for raw materials & finished goods.
- Work closely with production & shipping to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Assist with raw material transfers & maintain shipping schedules.
Production Planning Support
- Attend weekly planning meetings with production & quality teams.
- Help maintain accurate records & goods receipts in the system (training provided.)
- Track & update daily production & inventory data.
Administrative Support
- Assist with payroll entry & tracking employee time off.
- Run basic reports for management related to sales, inventory or purchasing.
- Support general office tasks as needed (filing, phones, mails, UPS, etc.)
Highlighted Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic proficiency of MS Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to details & ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Great communication & customer service skills.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or office environment is a plus but not required.
