Talis Group is recruiting for a civil litigation law firm downtown Louisville, KY. Our company client specializes in tort claims such as medical malpractice or product liability. This highly successful law firm is hiring for a Paralegal role with the firm. We’re looking for a candidate who has Litigation experience, preferably on the defense side, that can support 2 attorneys. Competitive compensation and full benefits package and merit bonuses available. This position is full time, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm.

Highlighted Duties:

• Support 2 attorneys with civil litigation defense.
• Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and court appearance reminders.
• Assist with drafting and editing legal documents.
• E-Filing legal documents with state and federal courts.
• Legal research, deposition summaries and preparation of witness statements and other materials for case preparation.

Highlighted Requirements:

• Previous civil litigation defense experience
• Paralegal and Legal Secretary background required.
• Strong organizational skills needed along with strong attention to detail.
• Good computer skills in Microsoft Office, document management software and similar required.
• Professional references required for consideration.
• Position is contingent on acceptable criminal background check results.
