Insurance Administrative Assistant
Job Description

Talis Group's client, a respected national insurance broker with a strong local presence, is hiring an Insurance Administrative Assistant to support their surety bond department. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys administrative work & wants to grow in the insurance or financial industry. This role plays a key part in supporting clients, internal staff, and outside partners by keeping everything organized & running smoothly.
This is a full-time, direct hire position with an hourly pay range of $25-$27/hour, plus full benefits and generous paid time off & paid holidays. The hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:00 (onsite- no remote option.)
Highlighted Duties:
- Maintain and organize client files with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Generate routine correspondence and assist with client communication.
- Answer and route incoming calls and voicemails.
- Track and distribute incoming/outgoing mail and overnight packages.
- Assist with invoicing, receipts, and basic bookkeeping tasks.
- Maintain accurate electronic client records in internal systems.
- Support other team members as needed – teamwork is essential!
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and partner companies.
Highlighted Requirements:
- 3+ years of administrative office experience required.
- Prior experience in insurance, surety bonds, banking, financial or legal industry preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel) required.
- Prior experience using CRM software is a plus.
- Detailed-oriented with excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Friendly, professional communication style – both in writing and over the phone.
- Experience with basic accounting tasks (AP/AR) is a plus.
