Human Resource Generalist
Job Description
Talis Group’s client is a well-established manufacturer of custom products located in New Albany, Indiana. They are looking to hire a talented HR Generalist to oversee all aspects of HR, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, offboarding, and payroll processing. This full-time, direct hire position offers a salary of $50k-$60k, plus full benefits and annual bonus potential. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, onsite. Highlighted Duties:
- Manage recruitment, including job postings, applicant tracking, and interviews.
- Conduct new hire orientations and assist with wage and salary administration.
- Oversee vacation accruals, attendance, and timekeeping.
- Advise management on employee relations, conduct investigations, and recommend solutions.
- Ensure compliance with company personnel policies and procedures.
- Process weekly payroll.
- Administer benefits, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and invoicing for medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, HSAs, and 401(k).
- Maintain OSHA 300 logs and EEO-1 reporting.
- Research and administer training grants.
Highlighted Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred OR minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and HRIS/Payroll systems.
- Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively present information to groups of employees or customers.
- Ability to apply mathematical reasoning to practical situations.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
