Construction Litigation Paralegal
Job Description
Talis Group’s hiring client is a national law firm is seeking a Paralegal for its litigation practice group in Louisville. Ideal candidates will have experience in construction civil litigation. Our client offers a friendly, business casual environment with a competitive salary and full benefits package such as health, life, dental and vision insurance, retirements plan and profit sharing. Hours are 8-5pm Monday through Friday, on site.
Highlighted Duties:
- Prepare various pleadings and subpoenas
- Answer discovery/ e-discovery responses/document production
- Request medical records via medical authorization and subpoenas
- Assist in trial preparation
- Create production indexes and privilege logs within document review/management platform such as Relativity or other similar e-discovery database.
Highlighted Requirements:
- Construction litigation required
- Significant litigation experience required including trial preparation, litigation document drafting such as pleadings, discovery documents.
- Medical records experience; must be able to prepare chronologies
- Proficiency in e-discovery software is a plus
- Must have the ability to take notes, stay organized and prioritize tasks.
- Good computer skills required, preferably MS Word and MS Excel.
