Talis Group’s client is a local manufacturing company in business for over 100 years. They are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Buyer to join their team and help source the best raw materials and finished goods to continue delivering top-tier products to customers.

The Buyer will be responsible for procuring raw materials, components, and finished goods necessary for production. This role requires strong negotiation skills, supplier relationship management, and an understanding of supply chain operations to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.

Salary Range: $ 70 – 85K (based on experience)

 Highlighted Responsibilities

• Source and purchase raw materials, components, and finished products.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve cost savings and quality standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing activities to meet production demands.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on cost, quality, and delivery time.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure material specifications and requirements are met.
• Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost reductions.
• Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Resolve supply chain and quality issues as they arise.

 Highlighted Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze supplier proposals and manage cost efficiencies.
• Experience in manufacturing or a related industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
