Paralegal
Job Description
Talis Group's company client is a well-established company specializing in business brokerage, valuation, and appraisal services is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to join their team for part time hours (15-30 hours a week). This position provides critical legal and administrative support in facilitating the sale and acquisition of businesses, as well as in the preparation of valuation and appraisal documentation. Flexible hours are available.
Highlighted Duties:
- Draft, review, and prepare legal documents related to business sales, including purchase agreements, non-disclosure agreements, letters of intent, and closing documents.
- Conduct due diligence support by gathering, organizing, and analyzing corporate records, contracts, and financial information.
- Maintain and update transaction files to ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Coordinate with attorneys, accountants, brokers, buyers, and sellers throughout all stages of business sales and valuations.
- Assist in preparing documentation for business valuations and appraisals, including compiling supporting data and reports.
- Manage timelines, track deadlines, and help ensure smooth and timely closings.
- Provide administrative and research support as needed to leadership and transaction teams.
Highlighted Requirements:
- 3+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in corporate, transactional, or real estate law.
- Strong knowledge of contracts, corporate governance, and business transactions.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with legal research tools is a plus.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and internal teams.
- Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.
